I participated in a lecture about genetics and our microscopic world. I was amazed to think about the milions and millions of universes in the top or our nose, the millions and millions of molecules in our faces. Like a microscopic universe.
I recently came across your work and have been appreciating its quiet contemplation of the observed in nature. Something I aspire to with my own drawings. This drawing in particular is so delicate, very beautifully drawn! I wondered what the medium is (what kind of pencil used)?
Dear Caroline, Thank you very much for your words, I appreciate your comments.Terra Incognita is a digital print worked in Photoshop. The original is a pencil drawing and I made this print as a test. Usually I print my etchings on relief, so I can get this black areas. If you scroll down, you will see more relief prints I usually work.
Thank you again, I don't use to work on photoshop, but I wanted to see the effects to work later with soft ground techniques. Anyway, I love the results.

Oh thanks for sharing, that would explain the very fine lines I see, the fact that you worked it in Photoshop!
